Cleaning the Right Way

It’s important to have your HVAC system periodically cleaned to save energy and provide better indoor air quality.  You should look for a qualified air duct cleaning contractor because they have the knowledge, experience and specialized equipment and tools needed.

Inspection Tools

Before cleaning, the HVAC system should be inspected. Tools such as handheld mirrors and flashlights, cameras and video inspection systems are used to inspect the status of the system.

The vacuum collection system puts the HVAC system under negative pressure (suction) and collects the dirt and debris that the cleaning cools dislodge.

Access Tools

Creating access opening in the HVAC system is required to accommodate inspection and cleaning tools.  Hold cutters, vari bits and scissor shears are some of the tools used.  After cleaning, these access openings must be sealed up with access panels.

Cleaning Tools

After gaining access and inspection the HVAC system, the cleaning can get underway. Cleaning tools include power brushing systems, air washing/air whipping (and associated air compressors) systems and wet/dry vacuums for contact vacuuming.  The goal is to remove all of the accumulated dirt, debris and other contaminates.
